Description: Corinth was a modern and proud city in ancient Greece, and thoroughly pagan. Christians there were tempted to conform to a seductive culture of pleasing the flesh and consumerism, in addition to sin’s continuing deceitfulness still in the lives of believers. Sound familiar? Paul instructs his readers how the gospel must shape their lifestyle in the church and in their culture. What does it mean to be truly spiritual in a sometimes hostile environment? How should knowledge of the truth inform our behavior? And how do we live lives characterized by both truth and love? Please join us as we study this valuable epistle that speaks so clearly to our own time.

Description: The Book of Acts records the activity of the early church. It covers events from the Ascension of Jesus to Paul’s ministry in Rome. The content of Acts also fills in events between the Gospels and the Epistles. The title of the book should be “The Acts of the Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit continued the work of Christ after His Ascension. The book is a valid and accurate history of the church. For three decades the church exploded in size from a small group of Jewish believers in Jerusalem to churches across the Roman Empire. Acts first gives the account of Peter’s ministry and then Paul’s. Join us as we continue on this key New Testament Book. Class participation is encouraged.

Description:  The Abide Sunday School is for youngish adults and adults with young families. Its design and purpose is to help us abide with one another (grow in community, encourage one another, share life) and abide in Jesus. We are currently studying the gospel of Matthew. Coffee and pastries will be present! Our structure on Sunday mornings is to have light teaching, discussion, prayer, and then a time for us to connect, fellowship, and share life.

Description:  During the Sunday School hour, we will gather to talk to the Lord. There will be a short lesson or scripture reading, then we will pray for what anyone would like to bring. Whether you pray out loud or to yourself, you will find others who believe that praying together and praying regularly are important.

Description:  In Leviticus chapter 23, God delivers to Moses some very interesting information. Seven feasts. God said: “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.” (Lev. 23:2). He then gives Moses detailed instructions about how and when these 7 feasts should be celebrated. But you might say “We are Christian, not Jewish. Why should we be concerned with these Jewish holidays?” Come join us as we take a deep dive into Leviticus 23, and you will discover that these feasts are not just Jewish holidays. They are so much more than that, and they have a great deal of significance for us as followers of Jesus Christ.
