Men’s Ministry

Men’s Fellowship Event – Dinner & Movie Night

Join other GEPC men for an evening of good food, good fun, and great fellowship on Friday, April 26th, at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll dine on “movie-themed” dinner and dessert, after which we’ll watch Dead Poets Society – a classic movie that showcases both the importance of the community of men and the need for fathers to nurture and care for their sons. Previous dinner and movie nights have been great times for fellowship and fun and this event promises to be even better! Sign up at church or contact Chris Taylor (206-2058; directly; please sign up by April 24 so we know how much food to prepare. See you then!

Student Ministry

Graduation Sunday

Join us Sunday, April 28th as we honor the students of our church who are graduating High School this year. We will be celebrating them, announcing their future plans and praying over them as a church in both services. This is an important milestone and as a church family, we are excited to encourage them as they take on this next step in life. If you are a graduating senior at GEPC please email your future plans and a senior photo in order to be acknowledged during this event.

Student Ministries Camp Out

On May 3rd-4th we will be having our 2nd annual Student Ministries Campout! We will be leaving from GEPC at 5:00 PM Friday and getting back to church on Saturday a3:00 PM. We will be heading up north to Mark Lancaster’s farm to camp out for the night. This will be a great night of fun and fellowship, you won’t want to miss out! There will be s’mores, plenty of games and sleeping under the stars! Both Middle School and High School students are welcome to attend this event. Please RSVP by emailing so we know how many drivers to recruit & how much food to bring.

Service Opportunities & Donations

April Mission Collection for City Union Mission

We will be collecting canned Corn, Green Beans, Mixed Vegetables and Fruit for City Union Mission. The pantry was checked and they are low on canned goods as it was a long cold winter and they fed many homeless. They serve over 800 meals a day to those who may not otherwise be able to eat. Feeding the homeless is a BIG JOB as the numbers grow. Any help you can give would be appreciated! To make things easier for dropping off, Joyce Grady will park her beige Sedona Van from 9:30 AM-10:55 AM by the patio on the east side of the church on the following Sundays: April 14th, April 21st, and April 28th. The donations can also be put in the Mission Collection Box on the 2nd Floor across from the Mission Board by the Chapel. Thank you and God Bless!

April’s Book of the Month

Mission Accomplished: A Two-Week Family Easter Devotional

Book Synopsis: Starting on Palm Sunday, your family will spend two weeks (fourteen devotions) walking in time with Jesus as he finished the work his Father had given him. Extending your devotional time into the week beyond Easter Sunday will encourage your family to follow the risen Jesus as he calls his disciples on a Spirit-filled mission to spread the good news to all nations. Your family will learn that God calls every Christ follower to that very same task, promising that his power and presence will help us as we go. Each devotion takes just ten-minutes and is suitable for all ages of children. Included are suggestions for hymns to sing and family activities that give you a chance to remember and apply the truth that Christ is risen indeed!
