Gashland Family Thanksgiving

Join us for an amazing Thanksgiving meal around the table with your Gashland family on Wednesday, November 20th. This is an evening to pause and give thanks, invite loved ones, and fellowship together while enjoying a Thanksgiving feast. If you are able, bring a dessert to share. This has become a favorite GEPC tradition- come and join us!

Turkey Treaters

Would you like to bless someone in the church with something special this Thanksgiving? Why not be a “Turkey Treater”? Today is the last day to stop by the Turkey Table and ‘pick a Turkey’ to bless with a small treat of your choosing during the Thanksgiving week. You get to pick the Turkey, choose the treat, and decide whether to remain anonymous or not. Have some fun and bless another!

Financial Update

We are chipping away at our deficit.  Offerings in each of the three months of August, September and October were the highest in the last three years.  Our total net loss (deficit) YTD is $85,892 of which $69,524 is from current operations.  Many members and other donors are finding creative ways to give a little extra to chip away at our deficit.  We encourage everyone to consider what they can do to help eliminate the deficit by December 31.  Thank you for your prayerful support.

Christmas Decorating

The Christmas 2019 church decorating season will commence on Friday, November 29, the day after Thanksgiving. The decorating process will start that morning with planning and pulling decorations out of storage and will continue that day and Saturday, 30th, by putting up the main decor thoughout the facility. There are a variety of things to do, from projects while seated to heavy lifting, so please feel free to participate for any length of available time, short or long. Christmas decor will go back in storage after Ephiphany 2020, and your assistance will be appreciated for that, too. Contact Sarah Sporrer, 816.591.2087,, for details.
