Music Assistant, Presbyterian Church of Stanley The Presbyterian Church of Stanley, in southern Overland Park, Kansas, has an immediate opening for a Music Assistant. This person will be responsible for supporting the Director of Music in a variety of ways, including serving as keyboardist to lead worship service of blended music, leading a praise team, accompanying soloists and vocal ensembles in weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services, and helping to plan and implement worship services. This person will work under the supervision of the Director of Music Ministries to enhance the worship experience. This is a part-time position (approximately 8-10 hours per week). The primary responsibility will be on Sundays, with additional weekly rehearsals and meetings. Past experience leading worship music preferred but not required. Must be able to work with youth and adults with varying musical skill levels. This person also needs to demonstrate a Christian testimony, creative spirit, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working in a team environment. Communications Director, Presbyterian Church of Stanley The Presbyterian Church of Stanley, in southern Overland Park, Kansas, has an immediate opening for a Communications Director. This person will be responsible for communicating to the congregation and community the mission, ministry, and vision of the church. They will work under the supervision of the Pastor for Mission and Evangelism to oversee external and internal communications and publicity opportunities with the primary goal of helping the members of PCOS know Christ and to make Christ known in our community and world. The Communications Director will also provide creative counsel and direction for various ministries of the church as they organize and produce various events and services. This is a full-time position, with the possibility of some Sunday morning hours. Knowledge of current communication and technological trends, as well as knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Publsiher, Word, and Joomla Web Design is required. This person also needs to demonstrate a Christian testimony, creative spirit, and enthusiasm for working in a team environment.
