Doubt To Faith To Love - men only Chris Taylor, Mark Smith & Dennis O’Hara Room 221
Sometimes as we look around us and listen to what the world has to say doubt and difficult questions can creep into our minds: are the wicked really winning, is God’s Word really true, or does God really care about me? Unfortunately, the lessons that sow the seeds of doubt can even come from within the Church herself. In this class we’ll look at the writings of two men, the prophet Habakkuk and the apostle John, who show us that in taking these and other questions to God our faith will be strengthened through the Truth and Love that is Jesus.
EPHESIANS – Who We Are In Christ Nathan Edwards & Matt Martinie Fellowship Hall
What is the church? What does it mean to be a member of it? What is God accomplishing in us and through us? Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is written to answer these questions. Paul casts an awesome vision for the church, one that is cosmic and thrilling, and one that has a part for all of us. There is no better time for us then now to catch this vision. Come and discover who we are in Christ and you will never see the church or yourself the same again.
The Gospel According To Matthew Larry Harris Room 217/218
You are invited to embark on a journey through one of the most treasured writings of the Christian faith. The Gospel according to Matthew, according to citations found in early Christian writers, was the most widely read and frequently used Gospels in the formative years of the church. Matthew worked to verify that Jesus was the long awaited Messiah of Israel, who brought salvation not just to the Jews, but to all nations. Come celebrate Advent and Christmastide while learning more about our savior.
That Ghost Called “HOLY” Binny Pearce The Chapel
Who is the Holy Spirit, or should I say what is the Holy Spirit? Is it person, thing, intangible, or just too mysterious to try to figure out? These are common attitudes toward the Holy Spirit; therefore, we too often just brush it off and say “That is too hard to understand.” Yet the scriptures teach us that the Holy Spirit is a real person who wants to lead our lives into such exciting places if we will just get to know Him and all He wants to do in us and through us. That is the purpose of this study—learning what all we received when we trusted Jesus. Everyone who’s 20-something (or close enough), join us.
Old Testament Minor Prophets Paul Weatherford Reception Room
We will do a survey of the 12 minor prophets to look at what God had to say to the Israelites concerning their relationship (or lack thereof) with Him and what we can learn about God's love, faithfulness, judgment and mercy today as we seek to worship, love and obey Him.
