Have you let Christ set you free? Life is full of prisons which include: guilt, anger addiction, depression, vanity, pride, bitterness, and selfishness. These prisons are always seeking to take us captive. To stay free we must hold fast to the Gospel. We must fight to keep grace alive in us. This is the message of Galatians. Join us in our study of this passionate letter and take hold of your freedom in Christ.

Pratical Lessons from Joshua, Judges, & Ruth |
Jean Bouas and Ulises Acosta
|
Room 217/218 |
|
What would it be like to follow a leader like Moses? The book of Joshua is a book of new beginnings as Joshua becomes the new leader of the Israelites as they prepare to take the land promised to Abraham. Joshua inspires us to be the “best” we can be. But, following his death, Israel sinks into APATHY (still so subtle and effective in rendering believers ineffective). The nation of Israel moved from apathy to apostasy and on to anarchy. Judges 21:25 says “Every man did that which seemed right in his own eyes.” What evidence of this pattern do we see today? God’s plans, however, are not thwarted and in Ruth we see His mercy. We are reminded that He rules and overrules in history. He is looking for servants to hear His word, do His will in His power in 2010 just as He did in the days of Joshua, the judges and Ruth. Join us as we are encouraged in and through the Word about the Sovereign Lord who loves us.
