Unshakeable - Heeding 2nd Peter Nathan Edwards and Matt Martinie Fellowship Hall
Jesus warned, “See that no one leads you astray. Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray” (Mk 13:4a, 5). Today there are many false teachers amongst us; they are persuasive and compelling. You are their target. If given any foothold they will steal your confidence and joy. 2nd Peter was written to make Christians unshakeable against these deceivers. Join us as we study this letter learning how to identify false teachers, how to escape their snares, and how to resist their lies with the truth of the Gospel.
Wilderness Wandering Jean Bouas and Ulises Acosta Room 217/218
Have you ever felt like you were in a spiritual wilderness? What’s it like to be there? What kind of uncertainty is there? Are there lessons to be learned? Is God present in the wilderness? In the new year of 2010, the Growing Together Sunday school class will begin a study of “Wilderness Wandering” (of Israel) following the Exodus from Egypt. What does this have to do with us in 2010? Come join us for study with our lessons coming from Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. God’s truths are ageless and not culture bound.
The Books of Samuel Holly Douglass Reception Room
All are welcome to join our discussion as we continue through the books of Samuel. Last week we finished looking at David and Goliath. Although these are familiar stories we know that God’s Word is alive and fresh. Please join us and see what new treasures God reveals as we examine and discuss His Word.
Walking With God Chris Taylor,Andy Gibbs, Dennis O'Hara, Mark Smith The Chapel - Men Only
God created us for intimate fellowship with Himself, and in doing so He established the goal of our existence – to know Him, love him, and live our lives in an intimate relationship with Him. Using John Eldridge’s book “Walking with God” as our guide we will continue our journey together on a quest to explore and apply practical biblical principles of intimate God. Although a continuation of the Fall 2009 class, prior attendance is not required – all men are welcome!
